Be responsible for the environment – save natural resources! Mara rPET – is a special sewing thread from A & E Gütermann, made from 100% recycled polyester. The raw material for this eco-friendly thread is recycled drink bottles made from 100% PET. Collected PET bottles are washed at various stages, crushed into flakes, and melted. The resulting microfilaments are the basis for the product range Mara rPET, made using our unique Micro Core® technology. Unlike conventionally spun yarns, these high-tech threads provide complete uniformity, a slippery shine, low hairiness, and optimal sewability.

Mara rPET impresses with excellent closing and holding seam performance, as well as decorative and embroidered seams, and is used for fine, medium and heavy fabrics for clothing, leather goods and upholstery.

Key information
Minimum order
Gutermann produces threads in various spools. The minimum wholesale order depends on the spool you're interested in. Please confirm the minimum order quantity with your Thread Manager.
Lead time
After payment, the threads that are in stock are sent to the client within 1-3 business days. The production and delivery time for threads not included in the warehouse program is 30 to 70 days.
Prices
We don't offer a fixed price list, as thread prices depend on many factors. To find out the price, please contact a manager and let us know what thread you need, its thickness, spooling, and volume. If you don't know these parameters, please let the manager know what you're sewing and the fabric, and we'll help you choose the right thread.
